In order for this partnership to be effective, subject leaders and governors must commit to the following actions –
- Sharing of contact details and email to enable effective communication – through the clerk
- At least termly meetings (3 x per year) between staff and governors
- Effective communication from staff informing governors of any special events & sharing subject leader files
- Governors’ support and attendance at some key meetings and events relating to the subject
- Clerk to monitor visits and ensure governor visit forms are filled in and submitted each term

It is hoped that communication between school and governors becomes both a professional and personal process, with individuals creating effective partnerships and gaining a deep knowledge of the school, challenging and supporting subject leaders to move the school forward rapidly.
