Contingency Plan for Remote Learning

 

In EYFS (Nursery and Reception)

In the event of any further school or bubble closures, remote learning for EYFS will be delivered through Tapestry. You should already have access to the platform but if not then please contact your child’s class teacher.

On the first day of any school closure teachers will begin to:

  • Make daily contact with parents via Tapestry. This could be in the form of a typed message or a short, pre-recorded video.
  • Provide daily learning tasks that are both meaningful and ambitious and that match the expectations for children who are still working in school. This will need to be differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils who are working remotely.
  • Provide frequent and clear explanations of new content using high quality resources and pre-recorded videos.
  • Provide feedback to pupils twice a week during the closure period.

In Key Stages 1 and 2 (Years 1-6)

In the event of any further school or bubble closures, remote learning for Years 1-6 will be delivered through Google Classroom. You should already have access to the platform but if not then please contact your child’s class teacher.

  • Make daily contact with parents via Google Classroom. This could be in the form of a typed message or a short, pre-recorded video.
  • Provide daily learning tasks for English, Maths and any relevant subjects that are both meaningful and ambitious and that match the expectations for children who are still working in school. This will need to be differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils who are working remotely.
  • Provide frequent and clear explanations of new content using high quality resources and pre-recorded videos.
  • Provide feedback to pupils twice a week during the closure period.
